Why do we need you?
Blinkist already has a loyal customer base in many countries across the globe. In order to accelerate our growth further, we’re looking for a Head of International Growth to provide localization in key markets. This is where you come in. You’ll own the critical role of analyzing, prioritizing, and developing local go-to-market strategies and take the lead in growing our core markets to new heights.
As our Head of International Growth you will:
Define our international expansion roadmap and go-to-market-strategies for key markets.
In the beginning, take full responsibility as a Country Manager for one of our key markets yourself, in order to build a playbook for growth.
Hire and guide Country Managers to execute local marketing, communications & partnering strategies.
Develop a deep understanding of user characteristics in key markets together with respective Country Managers and be the advocate for those within Blinkist.
Identify and manage local agencies to support execution of local campaigns.
Build and cultivate a strong network within relevant local ecosystems, i.e. AppStore teams, distribution partners and key journalists, to grow the awareness among key players.
Identify & negotiate local partner opportunities to increase our reach and strengthen our competitive position.
To do this, we believe you should have:
5+ years of professional experience with international expansion and general management for consumer brands.
A passion for learning through hands-on work. We are looking for a true entrepreneur who thrives in organizing hundreds of moving pieces and wants to be personally involved in setting the stage for success in each territory.
The passion, skills and guts to tackle a comprehensive marketing challenge & grow Blinkist into a globally known consumer brand.
Strong communication skills and a proactive, independent way of working.
A relevant business network in one of our core markets US, UK or Germany
Strong analytical skills and a results-driven mentality.
